Job Description

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - AI Product Management

Office Location: Hudson Yards, NY

Anticipated Start Date: January 4th, 2027

Contract Duration: 3 months

Work Hours: Full-time internship - 40 hours per week

What you'll bring

You're a Master's student in Computer Science or Engineering — or recently graduated — drawn to building AI products for real enterprise use.

  • Enrollment or recent graduation from a Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • A strong interest in AI products — agents, ML, and optimization
  • Comfort shipping code and building prototypes, ideally with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to map processes across systems to surface gaps
  • A customer-oriented mindset — thinking about the business users who depend on what you build
  • Familiarity with agent frameworks, guardrails, HITL, or evaluation methods is a plus

We also look for people who communicate clearly, keep the customer in mind, and enjoy finding smart solutions to problems — whatever stage of your career you're at.

In addition to the role-specific skills above, all student and early talent positions at SAP look for candidates who are open to working with AI tools — including agentic AI — to automate everyday tasks, prototype ideas, and build confidence in AI-assisted ways of working from day one.

What you'll build

You'll join the Application AI team, contributing to AI products embedded in the systems where business-critical transactional data lives.

  • Support identifying product opportunities through usage data, process mining, and user shadowing
  • Contribute to designing autonomous workflows that combine agents, code, and ML
  • Help author PRDs and technical specs — covering data sources, APIs, context engineering, and evaluation frameworks
  • Build working prototypes to validate specs before full engineering investment
  • Work closely with engineers through development, release, and productization

Where you belong

You'll be part of the Application AI team within the Application AI Product & Engineering org — building agents and AI products that serve enterprises at scale. This is a full-time internship based at SAP America, Inc., 10 Hudson Yards, 51st Floor, New York, NY 10001. When you join SAP, you'll be a part of SAP Next Gen — a global community of students and early professionals with access to mentors, development programs, and peers. You'll gain hands-on experience with production-grade AI systems and the full product lifecycle.
