SAS Developer - JD

Required:

  • 7-13 years of SAS experience developing, configuring, and administering SAS solutions.
  • Develop and maintain SAS programs using Base SAS, Macro, PROC SQL, and SAS DI Studio.
  • Create reusable macros and automated reporting solutions.
  • Optimize existing SAS jobs for performance and scalability.
  • Experience with scheduling with LSF Platform Suite built into SAS.
  • Design and develop ETL workflows using SAS Data Integration Studio.
  • Extract data from multiple banking systems,transform and cleanse customer and transaction data.
  • Load data into enterprise data warehouses.Should have hands-on experience with Unix file-system and fair knowledge in Shell Scripting
  • Experience with performance tuning SAS servers, troubleshooting, and automation of SAS jobs and code.

Desired :

  • Fair knowledge in credit risk management and stress testing.
  • Must have strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision and should have strong decision-making skills.
  • Analyse, develop, code, test, debug and document programming on assigned applications to satisfy business requirements for business areas.
  • Convert existing SAS code into high quality SAS code that is efficient (fast), automated, maintainable, and follows industry best practices.
  • Engage with client team supplying input for key design and architecture decisions work estimation and resource planning.
  • Work with external groups such as database and Support teams to solve issues related to applications.
  • Work with QA to define test plans and write Level-one feature tests.
  • Understand use cases, write functional specifications, and design documentation and assist with feature documentation.
  • Effectively communicate with project team members and client throughout the project lifecycle (status updates, gaps/risks, roadblocks, testing outcomes)
  • Effective collaboration with onshore team and implement highly scalable functionalities using sas applications like SAS EG, SAS DI and Hadoop.
  • Domain knowledge is recommended to convert the business terms to technical terms and design the framework / solution.
