Job Description

Certified Support Staff focuses on promoting student success by responding to identified needs through implementation of a comprehensive programs and services that help guide all learners in their academic success, personal and social development, and career and college planning and readiness. Bachelor’s degree, 2-4 years related professional experience

Required Certificates and Licenses: Indiana School Psychologist Certification Required

Residency Requirements: Must reside in Indiana
  • This position is remote and strongly prefer candidates that reside in Indiana.

The School Psychologist provides psychological evaluation services including, but not limited to, assessments, reports, providing related educational recommendations, consultation, therapy, and any other applicable educational services for students at the school.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.

ESSENTIAL FUNCATIONS:   Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Ensure all newly received documents (evaluation team reports, etc.) are compliant
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure compliance when necessary
  • Ensure all existing documents are compliant following the guidelines set forth by the state
  • Administer academic and other assessments to currently enrolled students per mandated time frames
  • Lead evaluation team report meetings; Participates in the school’s intervention assistance team
  • Assist the Principal of Special Programs in developing/leading/participating in professional development for the general education staff, special education staff, and parents of students in special education programs
  • Consult with guidance counselors to provide training in various emotional health areas
  • Keep abreast of all changing legislative issues impacting special education eligibility
  • Provide guidance with the implementation of school, procedures and projects
  • Serve on school committees; participates in professional development sessions
  • Collaborate with national Stride efforts including participation in special projects and/or taskforces, developing policies and procedures and training.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in related field of study
  • Experience as a school psychologist
  • Ability to Clear required background check
  • Ability to travel throughout the state to administer assessments and outside of the state for professional development opportunities

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level.  Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections.  Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
