Write AI-assisted scripts for vertical dramas and short-form content, developing serialized storylines, character arcs, hooks, and cliffhangers. Generate and test series ideas, create AI-generated films with Storyby’s tools, analyze vertical content trends, and optimize scripts for retention and binge-watching. Collaborate with product and creative teams to move content into production quickly.
The summary above was generated by AI

Storyby is an AI-native entertainment tech company, founded in 2022 by a Ukrainian team and now part of the SKELAR venture builder ecosystem.
We run a closed content loop across three products:

  • AlphaNovel — a reading and audiobook platform where 50,000+ writers publish serialized fiction, and readers (not publishers) decide what becomes a hit.

  • StorybyWriter — the author platform behind it.

  • DramaShorts — our vertical streaming app. Launched in April 2024, it now has 12M+ viewers, 5M+ of them coming back every month, and 50+ original titles in the catalogue.

The loop is the point: AlphaNovel tells us exactly which stories, tropes and characters an audience of millions actually pays for. DramaShorts turns the winners into vertical drama. Performance data from launch tells us what to write next. You will be writing with that data in your hands, not guessing.
We shoot in the US and Europe with professional actors and crews, and we use AI across the pipeline — scripting support, dubbing, post-production — as a co-pilot, not a replacement. The creative calls stay with writers and directors.
What you'll own:

  • Creating AI-generated scripts for vertical drama and short-form content

  • Developing serialized storylines: building story arcs, character development, episode dramaturgy

  • Crafting strong hooks in the first seconds and cliffhangers at the end of every episode

  • Generating and testing new ideas for series, formats, and content mechanics

  • Working with AI tools for scriptwriting, scene generation, and storytelling

  • Creating AI-generated films using Storyby's in-house product

  • Analyzing vertical content trends and adapting the best storytelling practices for a global audience

  • Optimizing scripts for retention and binge-watching behavior

  • Collaborating with the product and creative teams to move content into production quickly

You're our ideal candidate if you:

  • Have a strong "watch history": you regularly consume serialized, short-form, and vertical content and can deconstruct what actually keeps viewers hooked

  • Understand the specifics of vertical drama and can tell the difference between YouTube storytelling, classic film dramaturgy, and mobile-first content

  • Can build a dynamic structure: hook → conflict → cliffhanger

  • Have strong storytelling instincts and understand what triggers audience emotion

  • Are genuinely passionate about AI content and have hands-on experience with AI tools for generating text, video, or creative work

  • Have experience writing scripts, content, or serialized formats — a strong plus
