About Edpursuit

Edpursuit is building the trust and compliance platform for K-12. Every year, California schools face massive liability and manual hell trying to keep up with strict state hiring mandates. We turn a messy, spreadsheet-driven, paper-heavy investigation process into an automated, audit-ready asset.

The Role

We are looking for a scrappy, creative, highly empathetic relationship-builder to build our Go-To-Market strategy from the ground up. As the Associate Manager of School Partnerships, you will be the face of Edpursuit in the California education ecosystem. Your primary goal is to build new relationships with District Superintendents and K-12 HR Directors, positioning Edpursuit not just as software, but as an essential partner in school safety and compliance.

You will wear multiple hats: part SDR, community builder, part event marketer, part creative strategist, and part sales development representative. You will figure out the smartest, most engaging ways to get our product in front of the right school leaders and keep them engaged for the long haul.

What You’ll Actually Do:

  • Creative Outreach & Strategy: Design and execute out-of-the-box campaigns to connect with CA school district leaders and HR teams.
  • Community Building: Build and nurture a community of K-12 HR and compliance professionals. You will create spaces (both online and offline) for these leaders to share best practices and see Edpursuit as a trusted thought leader.
  • Events & Activations: Plan and host local activations
  • Customer Success & Operations: A small aspect of the role will be handling light operational tasks to help onboard new schools and ensure they become our biggest advocates.

Qualifications

  • Relationship Master: You have an incredibly high EQ and can build rapport quickly with senior leaders. People naturally trust you.
  • Creative Scrappiness: You don't need a massive marketing budget to make a splash. You know how to get attention and add value using creativity and hustle.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You write beautifully and speak persuasively. You know how to translate complex compliance headaches into simple, compelling narratives.
  • Self-Starter: We are an early-stage startup. There is no playbook here—you will be the one writing it. You thrive in ambiguity and are highly organized.
  • Bonus Points: Experience working within the K-12 ecosystem (either at a school district, a charter network, or an EdTech company), or an understanding of education policy and HR.

Pay and Benefits

  • Compensation: $100,000 – $140,000 OTE (50/50 split between base and variable)
  • The Startup Experience: You won't be a cog in a machine. You will work directly alongside the founder, getting a front-row seat to exactly what it takes to build a company from the ground up.
  • Flexibility: A flexible, hybrid working environment based out of our Concord office.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for outliers. You might be a former educator or school HR professional who wants to transition into tech and scale your impact. You might be a community manager or field marketer who is tired of the corporate grind and wants to build something meaningful from the ground up. Or, you might be a recovering salesperson who hates the traditional "boiler room" sales culture and wants to focus on authentic relationship-building.

How To Apply?

Apply here on Builtin and extra bonus points for sending me a cold email after you've applied.
