The Senior Account Executive drives commercial growth by selling cross-border payment solutions to various banking institutions and requires extensive industry knowledge and a strong network.
About Conduit
At Conduit, we believe in a world of fair economic opportunity, where global commerce can flourish thanks to frictionless exchange of value.
Our first steps in building towards that vision is enabling drastically faster, cheaper, and more reliable transactions for businesses in emerging markets.
We’re here to build. We empower our team to act like founders, make bold decisions, and deliver business outcomes that matter.
Role Overview
Conduit is seeking a Senior Account Executive, Financial Institutions & Banks to drive commercial growth by selling our cross-border payments and infrastructure solutions to banks, including Tier 1 institutions to regional and community banks. This is a senior, high-impact role for someone who understands how banks operate, has a strong existing network across the U.S. banking ecosystem, and can independently generate new opportunities and relationships.
You’ll lead the go-to-market strategy for the banking segment - creating compelling sales materials, building tailored solution proposals, and working hand-in-hand with product, compliance, and engineering teams to design and implement bespoke cross-border payment flows. This role combines strategic sales leadership with technical and operational fluency, ideal for someone who can sell to banks and speak their language.
We’re looking for a builder: someone entrepreneurial, execution-oriented, and equally comfortable in a boardroom with banking c-suite as in the weeds with a payments operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the banking sales pipeline: Build and manage a robust pipeline of bank relationships across Tier 1, regional, and community banks. Drive the full sales lifecycle from outreach to closing.
- Develop strategic relationships: Leverage your existing network to establish and expand partnerships that enable Conduit’s global cross-border payment flows.
- Design and present solutions: Create compelling commercial proposals and payment flow structures aligned with each bank’s technical, compliance, and operational frameworks.
- Lead sales enablement: Develop and refine sales collateral, pitch decks, and product positioning to effectively communicate Conduit’s value to financial institutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with compliance, legal, product, and engineering to ensure proposed solutions align with regulatory and operational requirements.
- Guide onboarding and implementation: Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth bank integration, onboarding, and go-live processes, with a focus on client satisfaction and retention.
- Drive outbound business development: Proactively identify and pursue new banking relationships — you’ll be expected to build and manage your own outbound pipeline.
- Represent Conduit externally: Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance Conduit’s visibility within the U.S. and global banking and fintech ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in enterprise sales or partnership roles focused on financial institutions — preferably in payments, fintech infrastructure, or B2B SaaS.
- Banking network: Strong relationships across U.S. banks (Tier 1, regional, and community), with a proven ability to originate and close high-value partnerships.
- Technical fluency: Solid understanding of how banks operate — core banking systems, payment rails (ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT, RTP), compliance, and treasury operations.
- Sales leadership: Proven success designing sales strategies, structuring complex deals, and working cross-functionally to deliver client-ready solutions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, builds from scratch, and moves quickly from idea to execution.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to engage credibly with C-suite executives and technical stakeholders alike.
- Bonus: Experience in cross-border payments, correspondent banking, or stablecoin-based payment infrastructure.
