The Role

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Senior Account Executive with experience in financial services and executive communications to join our team. This person will play a critical role in executive positioning programs specifically leading client service, project execution, media relations, and social media content, ensuring high-impact results for our clients.

We are looking to add an integrated strategist to our growing team, where we advise many of the largest and most recognizable US and global brands. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic visibility initiatives that elevate executive leaders as credible, influential voices within their industries and among key stakeholder audiences. This role blends executive communications, thought leadership, media strategy, speaking engagements, digital channel strategy, social content execution, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen executive presence, reputation, and market influence.

Responsibilities:

  • Support communications strategies for financial services clients, ensuring messaging, executive positioning, and stakeholder engagement align with business priorities and reputational objectives.

  • Support integrated executive visibility programs through media engagement, thought leadership initiatives, strategic messaging, and speaking opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with financial journalists, producers, and influencers to secure high-impact media opportunities and elevate executive profiles.

  • Partner with executives to develop messaging platforms, narratives, and thought leadership content that reinforce business goals and brand reputation.

  • Develop executive communications materials including op-eds, speeches, media materials, and social content, translating complex financial and regulatory topics into clear, audience-specific messaging.

  • Write and manage content for executive and brand social media channels, ensuring consistency across platforms while adapting messaging for target audiences.

  • Monitor digital communications and social media trends to bring forward new ideas and best practices for clients.

  • Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality execution, deadline adherence, and budget management.

  • Oversee and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and feedback to support team development.

  • Support new business initiatives through research, proposal development, and pitch preparation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or a related field

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Public Relations, Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising, Business) or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial communications, with a strong understanding of financial institutions, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, and alternative assets.

  • Strong media relations expertise, including established journalist relationships and a demonstrated ability to secure impactful coverage.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience developing executive messaging and thought leadership content.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

  • Understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and performance reporting, including LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and Reddit.

$70,000 - $83,000 a year

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
