About Drug Hunter

Drug Hunter is the trusted knowledge platform for drug discovery teams. We help scientists and R&D leaders move faster and more confidently by curating the most relevant insights and disclosures from across industry literature, patents, and conferences—distilling them into a single, searchable platform.

Over 200 leading biotech and pharmaceutical R&D organizations rely on Drug Hunter to stay ahead of the curve. We’re a mission-driven, product-focused team with a deep appreciation for scientific innovation and the people behind it.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our growing commercial team and help accelerate adoption of Drug Hunter across biotech and pharma R&D organizations.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this individual will own all aspects of the sales cycle—from prospecting to close—within a defined territory. You’ll identify new opportunities, develop relationships with scientific and business leaders, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver measurable value to customers.

This is an opportunity for an experienced, consultative seller who thrives in complex enterprise environments and wants to help scale a category-defining product in the life sciences.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business within assigned biotech and pharma accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior R&D stakeholders (scientists, team leads, and procurement).
  • Partner with the Head of Business Development to develop territory plans and execute account-based strategies.
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first conversation to contract signature.

Customer Growth & Retention

  • Work closely with Account Management to ensure smooth handoff and support for ongoing account expansion.
  • Identify upsell opportunities and drive renewals in collaboration with the broader commercial team.
  • Contribute to building strong customer advocacy through consultative engagement and value delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with scientific leadership on customized demos and seminars that align with customer programs.
  • Partner with marketing on outbound campaigns, field events, and targeted lead generation.
  • Provide structured feedback to the product and research teams on customer needs, use cases, and industry trends.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate records in HubSpot and forecast pipeline with precision.
  • Contribute to continual refinement of Drug Hunter’s sales process and messaging.
  • Represent Drug Hunter at key industry conferences and customer events.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, ideally within biotech, pharma, or life sciences software/information services.
  • Demonstrated success selling to scientific audiences (e.g., medicinal chemists, discovery biologists, R&D leaders).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise buying cycles and procurement processes in the biopharma sector.
  • Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and close six-figure+ SaaS or subscription deals.
  • Consultative, science-literate communicator who can bridge technical and commercial conversations.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mission-driven, curious, and eager to help accelerate drug discovery through better information.

Benefits

What We Offer:

  • Join a fast-growing company making a real impact in drug discovery
  • Work with a sharp, passionate, mission-driven team
  • Competitive salary and equity, healthcare, 401(k), flexible PTO, and remote-friendly culture
