Job Description SummaryThe North America Contractual Services Product Specialist role will report to our NAM ITO Director responsible for supporting the sales and proposals support for the Americas Sub-pole South Fleet & East District Contractual Services customer segments.
The Impact you'll make:
Our Senior Account Managers are Product Specialist who will lead and support assigned Multi-Year Agreement (MYA) strategy development, external meetings/negotiations, commercial positioning, value proposition, deal structuring advice, terms & conditions positions and ultimately drive closure to such MYA opportunities.
MYA's comprise new Contractual Service Agreements (CSA), new Multi-Year Maintenance Program (MMP) agreements, existing CSA and MMP agreement renegotiations (both growth oriented and defensive), term extensions and/or upgrades, settlement and/or concessionary issue support to resolution. Additionally, working closely with the Sub-pole operations teams, contributing to MYA commercial Key Performance Indicators and financial performance, including punch-list/pacing reviews and timely closure of assigned deals.

Our Account Manager are key contributor for commercial actions related to de-risking the Contractual Services portfolio and support the portfolio health teams on risk and mitigation on assigned deals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute on assigned opportunities to ensure the Services business wins profitable and productive MYA Backlog.
  • Support Services Account Managers to develop creative solutions and drive key initiatives that create MYA op profit and cash growth while mitigating risks to backlog.
  • Provide subject matter expert guidance to Services Account Managers.
  • De-risk and defend the Gas Power Pole CS portfolio through assigned opportunities.
  • Support Inquiry-To-Order (ITO) process (Policy 5.0) in cross-functional team including Account Management, Commercial Operations, Risk, Operations (ITR), Engineering, Finance, Treasury, EHS, Risk Management & Legal
  • Assist Services Account Managers with contract and amendment terms creation, and risk/reward analysis
  • Collaborate with MYA Commercial Operations and Risk Management on Contract risk identification and required approvals through the Policy 5.0 approval process. 
  • Support Risk and MYA process rigor led by region.
  • Own MYA financial analytics, Financial Deal Calculator configuration and support Power Services Sales with interpretation of financial metrics for assigned deals. 
  • Direct ITO Risk scenario analysis on assigned deals.
  • Support Daily Mgmt., Punchlist reviews, Strategy review for the MYA Business Line for the Americas Pole, as required.
  • Collaborate with Gas Power Services Account Managers and Equipment Account Managers to drive New Unit Equipment and Services penetration and win profitable MYA backlog.
  • Support Pole Services and Business Line Portfolio Health initiates such as risk quantification and mitigation strategy development.
  • Collaborate with Services Account Directors to identify and develop growth opportunities.
  • Support the Business Line on best-practices and lessons learned with global Power Services region teams.
  • Support long range planning and business line product strategy development.

Commercial ITO Metrics:

  • MYA Commitments, Margin $ and %, Sales, Billings, Operating Profit to include Cumulative Catch Up (CCU), Net Cash
  • Policy 5.0 Compliance
  • R1 Responsiveness
  • R2 On-time, quality Proposal offerings
  • R3 On-time Order Date, quality Handover

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related discipline from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales and/or commercial functions in market economics, competitive issues, technology and projects, with five of those years in the power generation industry. 
  • 5+ yrs of experience in the Heavy-Duty Gas Turbine segment

Desired Characteristics

  • Significant experience in Multi-Year Agreement commercial, sales, and operations preferably within the Gas Power Services segment.
  • Significant experience in negotiations and strategy development.
  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and financial literacy.
  • Proficient in financial modeling tools to run scenarios and drive business outcomes.
  • Exceptional presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in technical and commercial writing with strong reading comprehension.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications and business software.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and team-building capabilities; effective in matrix environments.
  • Experienced in financial management, accounting principles, and contract fluency.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
  • Able to build a connection to key stakeholders and establish credibility quickly. Manage and resolve conflicts.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $128,400.00 and $213,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
