WHO WE ARE

The PR industry hasn't really changed in fifty years. Relationships, lunches, luck, and a clip report at the end of the month.

Interdependence is rebuilding it from the ground up. Interviewed, our proprietary platform, analyzes 300,000+ stories every day across a network of 250,000 journalists. We turn earned media into something measurable, repeatable, and worth paying for — and apply the same data and discipline across paid, social, content, and brand. Integrated marketing run by one team, on one system, accountable to one result.

Forbes named us one of America's Best PR Agencies. Our 100+ person team works with brands, CMOs, founders, and entrepreneurs across consumer, healthcare, tech, B2B, travel and entertainment.

We move fast. The best argument wins. We hire for sharp thinking, real craft, and ownership from day one. If you want comfortable, this isn't the place. If you want to win, build with us.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Account Manager to lead strategic ORM programs across multiple industries including healthcare, tech, finance, and consumer. This role will serve as the day-to-day client lead, responsible for developing digital reputation strategies, overseeing content and search suppression initiatives, managing reporting cycles, and driving measurable results across search engines, review sites, social platforms, and AI search ecosystems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the lead client contact on high-touch ORM accounts, ensuring strong relationships and effective execution.
  • Develop comprehensive digital reputation strategies grounded in search behavior, brand narrative, and stakeholder sentiment.
  • Guide and oversee content optimization and SEO initiatives targeting Google, AI search engines, and review platforms.
  • Monitor search engine results pages (SERPs) and implement proactive and reactive tactics to improve visibility and sentiment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including SEO specialists, writers, designers, and analysts to execute multi-channel ORM campaigns.
  • Deliver clear, actionable reporting and insights that demonstrate impact and inform future strategies.
  • Coordinate ORM strategy with earned media and executive visibility teams.
  • Stay up to date with platform changes, algorithm updates, and AI developments affecting digital reputation.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and strategy roadmaps to senior clients and executive stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7–9 years of experience in digital communications, SEO, or online reputation management.
  • Proven success managing client-facing ORM or SEO programs in an agency or consultancy environment.
  • Deep understanding of search algorithms and AI-driven search trends (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and messaging skills—especially for executive content, thought leadership, and branded search results.
  • Proficiency with tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Meltwater, Google Analytics, Sprinklr, and review monitoring platforms.
  • Strong analytical abilities and experience translating data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent client management and presentation skills; calm and strategic under pressure.
  • Experience handling sensitive or crisis-related situations with discretion and professionalism.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience working with high-profile individuals and executives, particularly in healthcare, tech, or legal contexts.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and large language model optimization for brand management.
  • Background in journalism, strategic communications, or digital marketing.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
