About Water.org

1 in 4 people around the world lack access to safe water and 2 in 5 people don't have access to a safe toilet. We are working every day to change this. We are Water.org. We're here to bring water and sanitation to the world. We want to make it safe, accessible, and cost-effective because we believe that water is the way to empower a bright future that we can all share in, worldwide. We are an international nonprofit organization based in Kansas City, Missouri that has positively transformed millions of lives around the world through access to safe water and sanitation. Founded by Gary White and Matt Damon, we pioneer market-driven financial solutions to the global water crisis. What You'll Do

As Senior Accountant, Consolidations, you'll be at the heart of the financial infrastructure that keeps Water.org's mission running — ensuring the accuracy and integrity of consolidated reporting across a global, multi-entity organization. • Drive the Monthly Close: Support the full monthly financial close cycle — preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling key balance sheet accounts, and producing consolidated trial balances that give leadership a clear, accurate picture of organizational health.
  • Bring the Numbers Together: Assist with intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries across Water.org and its subsidiaries, ensuring that consolidated financial statements reflect a single, unified, audit-ready view of the organization.
  • Keep Revenue and Cash Flowing Accurately: Perform weekly revenue reconciliations, coordinate with the Revenue Operations team on variances, and manage bank matching and payment platform settlements across operating, money market, and investment accounts.
  • Support Audit Readiness: Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for key balance sheet accounts and consolidation entries, respond to external audit requests, and contribute to quarterly Audit Committee materials — so Water.org is always prepared for scrutiny.
  • Shape Better Systems: Serve as an active contributor to process improvement, SOP development, and chart of accounts maintenance — helping the Global Finance team work more efficiently and strengthen internal controls over time.
