About the Team

At Twitch, Content Accounting is responsible for managing the end to end financial and reporting obligations of negotiated agreements with content providers, influencers, production companies, and music rights holders. Our goal is to close our books in accordance with U.S. GAAP & internal accounting policy and meet our contractually obligated payout and reporting requirements. We support a diverse set of business stakeholders including content acquisition, music licensing, influencer marketing, and event production. We work closely with our legal, FP&A, tax and enterprise technology counterparts to accelerate Twitch’s strategy.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant eager to help us re-imagine how Content Accounting operates with the growing capabilities of AI. Your core work will have you involved at every step of the process from contract ideation through to final payout—providing support for negotiation, drafting technical accounting memos, preparing cost and payout calculations, executing month-end close activities, facilitating payment runs, and delivering reporting.

A successful candidate uses GenAI tools both reflexively and responsibly to enhance the group's daily productivity. You are passionate about accounting, thrive in the details, have an understanding of how data flows through systems, and have demonstrated the ability to break down ambiguous problems into concrete steps. You will play a key role in standardizing data and modifying processes, both inside and outside our team, to enable the introduction of GenAI to drive value.

This role reports to the Director of Content Accounting. You can work in San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Irvine, CA; or Seattle, WA

You Will:
  • Ensure the completeness of contractual records, review contract terms and document the application of our accounting policies
  • Support month-end close including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and fluctuation narratives for content costs
  • Ensure payouts are processed by obtaining payment support, ensuring tax compliance, responding to inquiries, and uploading to the accounting system
  • Utilize state of the art GenAI tools to develop, operate and manage agentic workflows to optimize core processes
  • Build relationships with cross-functional business and support stakeholders
  • Drive process improvements within your scope and contribute to transformation projects
  • Take on ad-hoc requests and own projects from start to finish on top of your core remit
  • Responsibilities will evolve over time. We are a small team and business support rotates.
You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting or a related finance field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience at a quickly evolving company or public accounting firm
  • Experience with contract reviews (revenue, leases, or other complex documents)
  • Strong aptitude for quickly mastering new systems, tools, and emerging technologies
  • Proficiency building in Excel / Google Sheets and familiarity with data tools such as SQL
  • Ability to recognize and implement process improvements and build scalable solutions with GenAI in mind
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex analysis into actionable insights for stakeholders and leadership
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of successful business partnership
Bonus Points
  • CPA License
  • Experience with SAP, QuickSight, Mode Analytics, or other related ERP, BI, or data visualization tools.
  • Hands on experience with emerging AI technologies (e.g., Claude Code, MCP and Agentic Workflows)
  • Avid Twitch user as a creator or viewer and passionate about the creator economy.
Perks
  • Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Maternity & Parental Leave
  • Flexible PTO
  • Amazon Employee Discount
