Job Description

This role is with a well-established, stable and growing public accounting firm located in the Concord/Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek, CA area. 

It will be integral to the accounting of closely and privately held businesses and will be responsible for organizing and managing client assignments, compilations, reviews, financials and related projects.

This firm has a strong track record of promoting from within and manager level roles are also available. Candidates with a desire to coach, mentor and lead teams are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Ideally a licensed (or on track to earning) CPA or EA
  • 3 or more years of experience with public accounting (audit/compilation/review) and an understanding of tax
  • Experience with the preparation of reviewed and compiled financial statements
  • Experience working with large to mid-sized Privately held businesses
  • Professional proficiency with recognized tax, audit and accounting software systems (CCH)
  • Is an excellent verbal and written communicator
  • An interest in mentoring and leading growing teams is ideal
  • Has earned a Bachelor’s degree ideally in, or with a focus on, accounting
