Senior Accountant

Location: Hayward, CA (100% Onsite)

Schedule: Day Shift | Flexible start times: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 / year (DOE)

Role Overview As our Senior Accountant, you will serve as the day-to-day lead for our accounting operations and a key resource for the Controller and CFO. You will oversee general ledger reconciliations, daily cash reporting, inventory, sales tax compliance, and multi-state payroll support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger account reconciliations (cash, prepaids, leases, accrued expenses, inventory, and deferred revenue).
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations to maintain cash flow reporting.
  • Coordinate state and city business licenses, property tax, and sales tax filings (Avalara).
  • Provide analytical support during monthly financial statement reviews and assist external auditors.
  • Support multi-state bi-weekly payroll journal entries and serve as backup coverage for payroll processing.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
  • Software: Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite highly preferred) and multi-state payroll platforms (ADP Workforce Now). Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Industry Skills: Cost accounting or manufacturing/construction experience is a plus.
