Are you a detail-driven accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment? Our client, a private family office in San Francisco, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their close-knit team and play a key role in managing the accounting and financial operations of a diverse investment portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative setting where no two days look the same. You’ll handle everything from investment reconciliations and financial reporting to property and trust accounting, all while gaining visibility into a wide range of asset classes and financial structures.

What You'll Do

  • Manage general ledger activity and ensure accurate, timely recording of transactions across multiple entities and trusts
  • Reconcile brokerage and balance sheet accounts; prepare journal entries and supporting schedules
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Oversee accounts payable and process monthly distributions
  • Support quarterly tax estimates and annual tax compliance
  • Maintain organized and secure electronic files and documentation

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or related
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills and deep understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
