About The TeamThe Crunchyroll Accounting Team is a global organization of nearly 50 professionals working together to support all of our critical business functions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policy and regulatory bodies.
This role is located in our Melbourne office and adopts a hybrid schedule. As the Sr Accountant you will report to the Australia Controller.
About You:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA (or equivalent) certification
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Media or Technology industry
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Experience using NetSuite or other large scale ERP system
- Experience with SOX
- Own the AP and AR processes for Australia and India operations, including appropriately accounting for, and reporting on withholding taxes and GST as required.
- Business partnering with non-financial departments of the company.
- Own month-end process for accruals, provisions, prepayments, and fixed assets/depreciation.
- Intercompany journals and reconciliations.
- Process month-end/year-end close, by posting journal entries and preparing account reconciliations.
- Assist with statutory audit and tax reporting requests.
- Prepare BAS & WHT remittance information for Australian Tax Office, prepare WHT & GST remittance information for India Income Tax Department.
- Monthly credit card reconciliations and staff reimbursement accounting.
- Prepare financial analyses to assist business with operational decision making as required.
- Perform other duties and ad hoc requests.
