We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, improving processes, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is also open to applicants in Canada or Mexico.

Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified.

Accounts Reconciliation & Compliance

• Perform monthly sales to cash receipts reconciliation

• Perform monthly fulfillment information to sales order for revenue recognition

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, inventory, and accruals.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.

• Support external audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Process Improvement & Internal Controls

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.

• Assist in the development and enforcement of internal controls and best practices.

Operational Accounting & Cross-Functional Support

• Prepare cash burn reporting semi-monthly

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and revenue recognition.

• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and other teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.

Technology & Automation

• Utilize and optimize ERP and accounting software (Netsuite experience preferred).

• Support automation initiatives to streamline accounting workflows.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup, consumer technology, or e-commerce environment.

• Previous experience in public accounting.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with all levels of management.

• Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
