Global vertical market enterprise software company with over 650 employees and contractors with significant operations in New York City, United Kingdom, Israel and India.  Approximately 75% of the Company’s commercial activity is in North America, however it has operations and customers worldwide.  Sintecmedia, d.b.a. Operative Media is majority owned by Francisco Partners, a global private equity firm, who made their investment in 2016. The Company is a clear leader in its market with both SaaS and Licensed Software products and is involved in a very dynamic industry with a high degree of innovation.  The company plans to continue its growth trajectory both organically and with the possibility of M&A to capitalize on its current position and current market opportunity.

 

Role Summary

As an Accountant, your tasks will include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems. We are looking for someone who motivates others through a positive professional attitude, exhibits integrity, reliability and leadership; and can provide exceptional client services by managing self and others with a sense of urgency, practicality and accountability. In addition, your responsibilities will include key decision making and challenging, negotiating and influencing the team.
Impact you will make on the role:

  • Responsible for providing internal and external auditors with information to comply with IFRS/US GAAP regulatory requirements and internal audit requirements
  • Work closely with members of Global Accounting team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis
  • Financial Statement preparation and review
  • Participate in close, review and consolidation of the US Group including international subsidiaries
  • Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and methodologies
  • Assist with creation of and monthly monitoring of the yearly budget and forecasts
  • Assist with management of finance department operations, including accounts payable and payroll
  • Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required

Expertise you will bring in:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
  • Exceptional Accounting Knowledge
  • 3+ years’ experience in Accounting, Experience with Software industry is a plus
  • International accounting experience is an advantage
  • A highly productive self-starter with very strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
  • Strong accountability and detail oriented; prepares accurate and timely work product
  • Ability to work independently and thrive, and be a team player
  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
  • Superior organization skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany a high-growth environment
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, (NetSuite a plus!)
