About the role

In this role you will partner with the relevant Major Agribusiness Clients (MAC) team member and/or Relationship manager to undertake the assessment of financial information and completion of the credit submissions used for MAC clients. This includes not only assessing a customer’s credit profile but also providing support regarding the choice of the most appropriate loan structure and providing a joint recommendation for approval.

You will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of credit quality and rating of the counterparty as evidenced by financial analysis and individual research.

Other duties may include:

  • Completion of annual credit reviews in a timely manner (overdue reviews maintained within risk tolerance levels).

  • Work with the Relationship Manager and Relationship Analyst to ensure covenants/special conditions are actioned in a timely manner.

  • Establish strong working relationships with all stakeholders including attending client meetings where appropriate. In conjunction with the relationship managers identify customer opportunities (including target names).

  • Participate in projects and/or assist the MAC Management in project and strategic initiatives.

  • Other duties as directed/required from time to time.

Skills and experience
  • Experience in a banking environment with exposure to Corporate/ Institutional and/or Large Rural clients either as a credit analyst, credit approval or in another relevant capacity.

  • Credit, risk and banking knowledge.

  • Strong risk management experience.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Relationship management & engagement skills.

  • Client focused with a positive attitude.

  • Articulate with strong verbal and written skills.
