Senior Associate, People Leadership and Process Management (Onsite)
Do you get excited about process management and creative problem solving? We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined, and process-oriented Senior Associate to join our team. This role is critical for providing operations management across several key areas, including risk management, communications, project management, process controls and improvements, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
The ideal candidate will excel in a team environment, possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate attention to detail, and adapt quickly to change. A key part of this role is helping to deliver a streamlined Affidavits process as part of a larger team effort. We are looking for someone who is passionate about driving process improvements, working collaboratively across various Capital One areas, and contributing to the continued transformation of our processes.
General Responsibilities:
  • Leading a team of onsite associates, strong people leadership skills and the ability to develop your team members.
  • Ensure timely administrative responsibilities of time cards, spreadsheets, team meetings, etc.
  • Define and measure performance metrics (monthly scorecards, annual appraisal) and clearly communicate to team
  • Leading and owning oversight of process improvement work and collaborating with teammates on larger initiatives
  • Collecting data and information and using analytics and reporting to provide transparency to senior leadership and executives
  • Identify and implement process improvements driving issue resolution/risk mitigation activities
  • Tracking and resolving process breakdowns
  • Understanding customers' needs for the process and driving process improvements
  • Developing and maintaining formal process documentation including procedures and process flow diagrams
  • Acting as a subject matter expert to effectively partner with project customers to achieve the desired outcome or improvement by clarifying needs and providing appropriate solutions
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and partners
  • Share in accountability for a business level function team (Logistics, quality, innovation, morale)
  • Execute flawless management of projects assigned to unit.

Location: This role is an essential position and requires on site attendance in Richmond, Virginia.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 3 years of Customer Channels experience
  • At least 1 year of Coaching, Mentoring, or People Leadership Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1 year of Consumer Legal Proceedings or Paralegal experience
  • At least 1 year of experience with Legal Document review
  • At least 1 year of experience with SQL
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
  • At least 4 years of experience in Business Process Management, Project Management or Risk Management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA: $80,800 - $92,200 for Unit Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
