About the Role:

Dr. Squatch is looking to hire a Senior Associate of Strategic Finance. We are looking for an individual with exceptional financial modeling experience and problem-solving skills to join our growing team. This person will support special projects that touch all departments, focusing on analysis for our Executive Team and Unilever. They will also be responsible for financial analysis to support the company model, including detailed revenue forecasting, margin & trend analysis, and expense forecasting. This person will be a critical contributor in projecting and evaluating the financial impact of Dr. Squatch’s core growth initiatives, helping to evaluate KPIs which refine our go-forward strategy.

This role will report directly to the Director of Strategic Finance and work collaboratively across all internal teams and extensively with external partners.

This is a full-time role with company benefits based in Marina Del Rey, CA.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $115,000 to $140,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Financial analysis and reporting, including ongoing trend analysis, monthly reporting packages, comparisons between actual vs. projected performance, etc.
  • Ownership of relationship with the Accounting Department, with a heavy emphasis on finance-focused review
  • Financial modeling, with focus on:
    • DTC cohort analysis/trends
    • New vs. existing customer behavior, how it relates to our projections
    • Retail POS data analysis including market sizing and trend analysis
    • Expense forecasting
    • Assist in liquidity planning and forecasting
  • Business partnership and collaboration with Ops on product margin and contribution analysis
  • Special projects, including support for retail, international, and product expansion
  • Budgeting support across marketing and other departments
  • Other projects as assigned

About You:

  • 1-3 years of finance experience in investment banking or private equity (required) and operational finance (optional)
  • Bachelors degree
  • Expert level skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to take ownership
  • Problem solver with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, for internal financial recommendations and outside investor relations
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries
  • Experience working with consumer product/DTC business models highly preferred
