We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join a team expanding Zelle beyond P2P payments—a groundbreaking pay-by-bank payment method that will enable merchants and banks to offer customers instant, secure account transfers, bill payments and checkout powered by the Zelle network and real-time payment rails. This is a 0-to-1 product build that will bring Zelle to new environments, challenging traditional card and payment networks with a superior, bank-direct alternative. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in commerce payments—including e-commerce, point-of-sale, and merchant payment acceptance—and thrives at the intersection of product strategy, network design, and customer experience. You will help define the data, features, and user experiences unique to commerce use cases. If you want to shape the future of how America pays and moves money, this is the role.

As a Product Manager in Chase Banking Payments on the Zelle Expansion team you will define and deliver new payment experiences that expand Zelle beyond person-to-person payments. You will partner across product, engineering, design, operations, risk, and external stakeholders to create a bank-direct payment method that supports account transfers, e-commerce, point-of-sale (POS), and bill payment experiences. You will translate strategy into clear roadmaps, customer journeys, and measurable outcomes.

Job responsibilities

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to expand Zelle into commerce payment use cases (e-commerce, POS), while supporting strategy and execution for bill payment use cases
  • Identify target customer segments, key user journeys, and priority use cases, and translate them into clear product requirements
  • Design end-to-end checkout and payment experiences that balance speed, security, usability, and trust
  • Partner with engineering and design to deliver scalable capabilities (APIs, integrations, and platform features) that enable merchant acceptance
  • Develop network and ecosystem requirements in collaboration with participating banks and external partners
  • Define product data needs, instrumentation, and success metrics; use insights to prioritize improvements and drive adoption
  • Coordinate with risk, compliance, and operational teams to ensure the product is delivered with appropriate controls and customer protections
  • Lead AI-enabled cross-functional execution from discovery through launch, including pilot planning, rollout readiness, and post-launch iteration
  • Communicate decisions, trade-offs, and progress clearly to stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Drive new operating models for an AI-first product development lifecycle

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum 5+ years of product management experience required for this role
  • Experience building and launching digital payments products, including customer-facing experiences and supporting platform capabilities
  • Experience in commerce payments, including merchant acceptance for e-commerce and/or point-of-sale (POS)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex problems into clear requirements, roadmaps, and prioritization decisions
  • Experience partnering with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver products from discovery through launch
  • Ability to align diverse stakeholders and drive execution in a cross-functional environment
  • Familiarity with payment risk, fraud considerations, and control requirements for commerce transactions
  • Familiarity with language models, and applications within product management

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience building pay-by-bank, account-to-account, or real-time payments solutions
  • Experience with merchant integrations, checkout optimization, and payment acceptance journeys
  • Familiarity with bank network models, ecosystem incentives, and multi-party product design
  • Experience launching 0-to-1 products or new platforms in a regulated environment
  • Experience working with payment rails and settlement concepts across bank-direct transfers
