Role Overview

  • We are looking for a Senior Associate to support deal execution and portfolio management at Gate Ventures. This position involves hands-on sourcing, diligence, and working closely with Partners on high-impact investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source potential investments through network, research, and proactive outreach.
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence on protocols, teams, markets, and token models.
  • Build financial models, analyze on-chain data, and prepare investment memos.
  • Support deal negotiation, term sheet drafting, and closing processes.
  • Monitor and support existing portfolio companies, including performance tracking and founder assistance.
  • Contribute to market research, thesis development, and internal reporting.
  • Assist in pipeline management and weekly updates on opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, or crypto operations/research (prior crypto VC or protocol experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in on-chain tools (e.g., Dune, Nansen), token economics, and market trend analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate early-stage crypto projects and identify emerging narratives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing investment recommendations.
  • Crypto-native mindset with active participation in the ecosystem (e.g., contributions to protocols, public writing, or community involvement).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field; CFA or similar a plus.

Location
Remote-friendly, with occasional travel for conferences and meetings.
