Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer with hands-on experience in Databricks to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions. In this role, you will spearhead cloud transformation initiatives, modernize legacy systems, and collaborate across DevOps, Data, and Security teams. This is a technical leadership role requiring deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, infrastructure automation, and data platform governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end Azure-based architectures for enterprise applications, infrastructure, and data workloads.
- Set up and govern Azure Databricks environments, ensuring data governance, security, and scalability.
- Lead cloud migration strategies, including rehosting, refactoring, and rearchitecting legacy systems to Azure.
- Develop and enforce cloud governance models: Landing Zones, Azure Policies, RBAC, cost control, and security baselines.
- Configure and deploy Azure services, including but not limited to:
- Compute: VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, Functions
- Networking: VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Load Balancers, Azure Firewall
- Identity & Security: Azure AD, Conditional Access, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel
- Storage & Data: Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Azure Databricks
- Collaborate with DevOps to automate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms for cloud workloads.
- Author and maintain architectural documentation: HLDs, LLDs, diagrams, and design review artifacts.
- Evaluate emerging Azure features, third-party integrations, and recommend solutions for modernization.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in Azure cloud engineering and architecture.
- Proven success in designing and deploying cloud-native and hybrid infrastructures.
- Hands-on expertise in Azure core services, Terraform, Bicep, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
- In-depth understanding of cloud security, IAM, DevSecOps, and network design.
- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
- Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and related big data platforms.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with hybrid cloud or on-prem to Azure migration strategies.
- Familiarity with Azure Policy, Blueprints, Cost Management, and Governance frameworks.
- Exposure to Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and other security monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of modern DevOps and security tools including Jenkins, Git, DAST/SAST tools.
- Good to have: Linux, distributed systems, SQL, REST APIs, CDN, TCP/IP, and microservices architecture knowledge.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Databricks Certified Associate Developer or Architect
