Position Location
This role is available in the following locations: NYC Metro Area or San Francisco Bay Area, CA.


Time Zone Requirements
The team operates in either East/West Coast time zones.
Travel Requirements
This team has regular onsite collaboration sessions. These occur several consecutive days per quarter either at the Bay Area, CA or NYC office. If you need to travel to make these meetups, Prime will cover all travel related expenses.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will be instrumental in building out an end to end lending platform unlocked by superior small business data and intelligence.  As an experienced backend engineer working with the lending team you will be solving problems around data scale, integrations with 3rd party services, financial automation, software resilience and more. By joining our company at this stage, you will have an immense impact on the financial outcomes of small business borrowers through their companionship with our product and the quality of our product.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive the software development of our customer facing applications

  • Write high quality, maintainable and scalable code.

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues.

  • Instrumentation of experiment driven designs.

  • Influence and develop our coding standards and best practices.

  • Work closely with other engineers and dev ops to continuously improve our productivity.

  • Continuously improve our data model as our product evolves.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

  • Excellent communicator

  • Ability to work independently with a large degree of ownership

  • Intrinsically motivated by technology

  • Experience with Python/Flask, AWS, API Development, Spark, SQL

  • The motivation and flexibility to work well in a high-growth & dynamic environment

Preferred qualifications
  • Start up and fintech experience a huge plus
