About the role

Skills: Kubernetes, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, LLM/AI

You will play a critical role in building our platform, driving the technical direction of our company. This is a hands-on position that will involve working on all parts of our backend, from the infra to services, and collaborating with other engineers, designers, and founders. We are 5 days a week in office. No remote work will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the rest of the team to design and implement our backend, and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and designers to build a user-friendly and intuitive platform that meets our customers' needs.
  • Help define and execute the technical roadmap for our platform, balancing technical debt and innovation to ensure we can deliver on our business goals.
  • Inventing, extending, and maintaining development processes, tools, and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer, with a focus on building scalable and reliable web applications, preferably at a pre-Series B startup. Tech Lead experience is a plus.
  • Ability to decompose large problems into concrete deliverables and milestones and then deliver against the committed plan.
  • Ability to work 5 days a week in office.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, and familiarity with at least one Python backend framework. We use FastAPI!
  • Experience with AWS and knowledge of AWS cost and billing is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. We use Postgres and Dynamo!
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with and enjoys creating prototypes and experimenting quickly.

Minimum Requirements and Pay

  • US Citizen/Visa Only - no sponsorships available
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
  • Base salary USD 120,000-200,000 per year
  • Eligible for our highly valuable equity
