At Codelitt, we partner with ambitious companies to build digital products that solve real business problems. Our teams care deeply about product quality, strong engineering, and working closely with stakeholders to ship meaningful outcomes.

About the Role!

We’re looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our team on a high-impact engagement with one of our partners, a global wealth-tech and data platform that helps investment professionals manage complex portfolios, deliver better client experiences, and operate at scale. The company supports a large international client base, serves more than 1,400 firms across 60+ markets, and is continuing to invest heavily in client-facing products, integrations, and AI-enabled workflows.

This role will embed with a senior portal team that is expanding core advisor and client experiences across web and mobile surfaces. Your immediate focus will be backend platform development inside an existing Java monolith, helping deliver new functionality tied to advisor profiles, search and filtering improvements, and integrations that extend CRM-driven workflows. You’ll be joining a strong team that values quality, platform thinking, and shipping the right long-term solution rather than one-off customizations.

Who You Are:
  • Backend-first and highly effective in Java production environments.

  • Comfortable working inside large, mature codebases, including monolithic architectures.

  • Pragmatic and unafraid of messy code when the business problem is worth solving.

  • Experienced with API integrations and backend connections to third-party platforms such as CRMs.

  • Strong at building reusable platform capabilities, not just feature-by-feature patches.

  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate development, while applying judgment and validating outputs carefully.

  • Collaborative, low-ego, and able to integrate quickly with a senior engineering team.

What You’ll Do:

Backend Platform Development

  • Build and extend backend capabilities in a Java-based monolith that powers key portal initiatives.

  • Design clean, maintainable solutions for new advisor- and client-facing features.

  • Improve the underlying platform so new functionality can scale beyond a single use case.

Integrations & Data Flows

  • Implement and evolve backend integrations that connect product experiences with existing business systems.

  • Help enhance CRM-related workflows and data capture patterns already in place.

  • Ensure reliability, maintainability, and clear ownership across service boundaries.

Cross-Functional Delivery

  • Work closely with engineering leads, product, design, and stakeholders to refine requirements and ship incrementally.

  • Support roadmap acceleration on high-priority commitments with real delivery pressure and visible impact.

  • Contribute to technical discussions, tradeoff decisions, estimation, and implementation planning.

Engineering Quality

  • Write testable, maintainable code and document your decisions clearly.

  • Help the team move quickly without sacrificing engineering standards.

  • Bring a product mindset to backend work, thinking about the end-user experience as well as system design.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong depth in Java.

  • Proven experience working in monolithic systems or other large, mature production environments.

  • Solid background in backend APIs, systems integration, and data modeling.

  • Experience integrating with SaaS tools, internal platforms, or CRM systems.

  • Familiarity with cloud environments, CI/CD, and modern development practices.

  • Exposure to fintech, wealth tech, or other data-intensive B2B SaaS products is a strong plus.

Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound technical judgment.

  • Clear communicator who can work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfortable with urgency, ambiguity, and evolving priorities.

  • Ownership mindset with a bias toward action.

  • Team-oriented and easy to work with in a remote environment.

This is an opportunity to join a meaningful engagement with immediate priorities, a senior partner team, and clear room to make an impact quickly.

If this sounds like the kind of challenge you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
