Type: Full Time

About the Role:

LMArena is looking for a Lead Brand Designer to establish the creative foundation for how our brand is seen and experienced — by our community, customers, and the AI industry at large. This is a foundational role: you’ll be the first dedicated brand designer, responsible for building our design system from the ground up and shaping the creative culture of the company.

You’ll lead the development of a brand identity that feels credible, community-driven, and innovative — capturing both the scientific rigor and human energy behind LMArena. Your work will influence everything from product visuals and educational content to launch campaigns, events, and investor communications.

This is a rare opportunity to build a globally visible brand at the intersection of AI, research, and community.

What you'll do:

  • Create compelling, thoughtful design assets across web, product, video, social, events, and print.

  • Develop and scale LMArena’s brand identity, guidelines, and design system — ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.

  • Translate complex technical ideas into simple, engaging, and digestible visuals.

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and leadership to craft the creative narrative that carries across campaigns, launches, and public moments.

  • Partner with freelancers, agencies, and vendors to uphold design quality.

  • Contribute to shaping LMArena’s design culture and help grow a world-class creative team.

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of brand design experience (in-house, agency, or freelance).

  • Deep expertise in visual identity, illustration, and storytelling.

  • Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • A strong point of view on design and the ability to balance trends with originality.

  • Experience with design systems and working closely with product and engineering partners.

  • Startup experience — comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

Bonus Skills (not required):

  • Experience building or evolving a brand at an early-stage company.

  • Motion design and video editing skills.

  • Web design or data visualization experience.
