We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team in support of the Customer Success team. In this role, you will leverage your analytical expertise and business acumen to unlock the value of SmarterDx’s data assets, drive critical insights for both internal and external stakeholders, and deliver meaningful outcomes that strengthen customer trust. You will be embedded within the Customer Success team and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to elevate our customers’ experience and optimize business performance.

**This role is fully remote within the US**

What You’ll Do

  • Create Data-Driven Narratives: Craft compelling, results-oriented narratives that highlight client performance, uncover opportunities for optimization, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Translate Data into High Impact Narratives: Synthesize complex analyses into clear, compelling, and actionable narratives that inspire customers, highlighting business impact and strategic recommendations.
  • Drive Exploratory Analysis & Insight Generation: Independently scope and execute exploratory analyses using advanced SQL and analytical tools to answer ambiguous, high-priority business questions. Rapidly prototype and iterate on analyses to validate hypotheses and inform direction.
  • Build Relationships: Develop strong working relationships with Customer Support and clients. Ask targeted questions and partner with executive-level stakeholders to understand the “why” behind requests and align analytics with business objectives.
  • Bridge Business and Technical Teams: Serve as the liaison between technical and business teams, articulating complex findings in clear, actionable ways while influencing team roadmaps and product strategy.
  • Champion Data Quality and Analytical Rigor: Set a high bar for data integrity and analytical excellence. Lead validation processes, ensure accuracy, and drive best practices across teams through peer review and collaboration.
  • Lead Strategic Client Analytics: Own and drive high-impact analyses that inform client strategy, uncover opportunities for revenue optimization, and influence client product adoption.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of driving business impact.
  • Revenue Cycle Expertise: strong conceptual understanding of inpatient mid-revenue cycle processes and data.
  • Advanced SQL Fluency: with the ability to write, optimize, and scale complex queries for ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Strong BI & Data Storytelling Skills, with a passion for building tools and narratives that empower decision-making.
  • Strategic Insight Generation, with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Commitment to Data Integrity, with rigorous validation practices and experience leading quality assurance efforts.
  • Ownership Mindset, thriving in ambiguity and taking initiative to define problems, not just solve them
  • Problem-solving skills: Distinctive ability to identify patterns, prioritize what's critical, and focus on impactful solutions.
  • Executive Communication Skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and adapt messaging across audiences.

Compensation

$130,000 - $150,000
