Job Description

Senior Business Development Manager, Wise Platforms

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

The Mission: Scale Wise’s infrastructure as the default payment engine for the world’s largest digital platforms.

The Role

Wise Platform isn't just a product; it’s the global infrastructure powering 80+ world-class institutions including Morgan Stanley, Google, and Deel. As a Senior BDM, you will own the end-to-end commercial strategy for the Digital Platforms vertical (Spend Management, Marketplaces, and E-commerce) across North America.

You aren't just "selling APIs"—you are architecting global money movement for the largest enterprises in the world.

What You’ll Own

  • The Enterprise Pipeline: Identify, negotiate, and close transformative partnerships with North America’s largest digital platforms.

  • Vertical Strategy: Partner with the Regional Head of BD to refine our GTM, pricing, and product roadmap for the enterprise sector.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the commercial lead working alongside Product, Legal, and Engineering to bridge the gap between "client vision" and "technical delivery."

  • Industry Voice: Represent Wise Platform at global conferences as the primary spokesperson for our enterprise vertical.

What We’re Looking For

  • The Track Record: You’ve successfully navigated complex, multi-million dollar cycles with global digital platforms or enterprise fintechs.

  • Technical Fluency: You can hold your own with Product and Engineering teams to discuss API-driven payment flows.

  • Strategic Autonomy: You don't need a playbook—you help write it. You thrive on market analysis and identifying the "next big" vertical.

  • Scale Mindset: You are motivated by moving billions in volume and fundamentally changing how money moves across borders.

Why Wise?

We’ve built a global network that is faster, cheaper, and more transparent than traditional banking. Join us as we build the future of international money movement.

Qualifications

  • Payment Infrastructure Expert: 8+ years navigating the complexities of North American and International payments. You understand the "plumbing" of spend management, marketplaces, and workforce platforms.
  • Strategic Growth Driver: You have a documented history of architecting business strategies that don't just add revenue, but move the needle on a global scale.

  • Regulatory Navigator: You possess a deep, "boots-on-the-ground" understanding of the North American financial and regulatory landscape and how it dictates international money movement.

  • Elite Negotiator: You can independently secure optimal commercial terms without losing sight of the product vision or operational integrity.

  • The "Techno-Commercial" Hybrid: You are as comfortable whiteboarding an API integration flow as you are redlining a multi-million dollar legal contract.

  • Lead by Example: You are a hands-on operator who builds the pipeline alongside your team, thriving in the "doing" as much as the "directing."

Additional Information

For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders  — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.

We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
