Senior Business Development Representative
About Phonely
Every day, billions of phone calls are made to businesses, and AI will soon power the majority of them. Businesses need a way to build, simulate, integrate, and deploy voice AI agents. That’s what we’re building.
To create AI voice agents that truly match human performance, we need 99.999% reliability. We’ve built fine-tuned LLMs, real-time monitoring, Zapier-like automation, and voice infrastructure that scales instantly.
We’re growing fast. Across nearly all of our investors’ portfolios, we’re one of the fastest-growing companies. Our customers are expanding rapidly, and we’re looking for a Senior BDR who wants to help build the next stage of our go-to-market engine.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build pipeline daily through cold calls, DMs, emails, events, and referrals. Leaders still lead from the front.

  • Own inbound and outbound opportunities and help move deals forward.

  • Run discovery calls and demos with prospective customers.

  • Work directly with founders and GTM leadership to sharpen messaging, positioning, and outbound strategy.

  • Test new prospecting motions, messaging frameworks, and growth channels.

  • Help build and document the outbound playbook as we scale.

  • Turn customer conversations into actionable feedback for the team.

What Success Looks Like
This is more than a quota-carrying role. Success looks like:

  • Generating meaningful pipeline yourself.

  • Spotting opportunities to improve how the team operates.

  • Refining our outbound strategy and messaging.

  • Creating systems that make future reps more successful.

  • Becoming a trusted partner to founders on go-to-market decisions.

We’re looking for someone who wants to help build the machine, not just operate it.
Player-Coach Responsibilities
You’ll be one of the leaders on the team. That means:

  • Helping newer BDRs improve their outreach, calls, and prospecting.

  • Sharing what’s working and raising the performance level of the team.

  • Acting as a bridge between founders and the BDR team.

  • Communicating priorities, feedback, and best practices.

  • Leading by example through your own execution.

This is not a management role, but it is a leadership role.
Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience

  • You don’t wait for direction. You create it.

  • You care about building systems, not just hitting numbers.

  • You enjoy helping others improve.

  • You can think strategically while still executing at a high level.

  • You thrive in fast-moving environments.

  • You want meaningful ownership over how a company grows.

  • Bonus if you’ve sold SaaS, infrastructure, or AI products.

Most Senior BDR roles just hand you a bigger quota. This one gives you direct influence over strategy, process, messaging, and team development. If your goal is to become a founding AE, sales leader, or GTM operator, this is the kind of role that compresses years of experience into months.
Why Join Us?
Uncapped commissions. Equity. Free breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll work directly with founders and help shape the future of our GTM organization.
We’re building the future of AI voice: fast, scalable, and reliable 24/7.
If you’re hungry to win, excited by ownership, and want to help build a world-class sales organization from the ground up, we want to meet you.
