We are seeking

Bitdeer is seeking a Senior Commercial Contracts Manager to join our Legal & Compliance team in San Jose, CA. This individual will primarily focus on commercial contract operations — intake, execution discipline, recordkeeping, and obligation tracking — across Bitdeer’s North America construction, procurement, and site development activity. This is an operational and process-discipline role, not an attorney position.

What you will be responsible for

  • Serve as the single point of intake for commercial contracts across the North America function — vendor and supplier agreements, purchase orders, NDAs, membership-program paper, and routine amendments — and route each to the appropriate business and legal owner.
  • Build and own a central, searchable repository of executed agreements, capturing contract type, counterparty, effective and expiry dates, value, signatory, and status.
  • Administer the signature and execution workflow, confirming authorized signatories and a complete, correctly executed signature page before work begins or payment is released, and escalating exceptions immediately rather than after the fact.
  • Maintain a tracking calendar for renewal and auto-renewal windows, notice-to-terminate deadlines, insurance certificate expirations, and milestone and performance dates, and surface them to the responsible deal owner with enough lead time to act.
  • Own first-pass review and negotiation of standard agreement types against Bitdeer’s negotiation playbook and pre-approved fallback positions, escalating any requested deviation to the assigned attorney.
  • Evaluate and help implement a contract lifecycle management platform, and maintain the reporting that measures contract volume by type and business unit, cycle time, and workload.
  • Support the Legal & Compliance team on other contract operations matters as assigned.

How you will stand out

  • 8+ years in contracts management, contract administration, or legal operations. A law degree is not required for this role and is not a substitute for the experience described above.
  • Demonstrated experience building or substantially improving a contract intake, tracking, or repository process from a low-maturity starting point — this is a build, not a maintain-the-existing-system role.
  • Working fluency with a contract lifecycle management or e-signature platform (DocuSign, Ironclad, ContractPodAi, or equivalent), including comfort evaluating and selecting tools rather than only using them.
  • Strong, demonstrated process discipline and organizational rigor, with the judgment to operate within a playbook and escalation framework rather than deciding legal positions independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and high self-motivation.
  • Experience in a construction or EPC, energy, industrial procurement, or hardware and technology environment with high-volume deal flow.
  • Prior experience at a public company, with the recordkeeping and disclosure rigor that implies.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction operations across the United States and Canada.
