Index Exchange is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead strategic communications initiatives that elevate our brand, amplify executive visibility, and position Index as a thought leader across the global advertising and technology ecosystem. This role will own high-impact programs spanning media relations, speaking engagements, and internal communications, ensuring alignment with business priorities and measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in corporate communications, exceptional storytelling skills, and a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders. This position reports to the Director of Communications and collaborates closely with global Marketing, Commercial, and Product teams.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Lead Strategic Communications Planning: Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that advance Index Exchange’s market position and thought leadership
- Executive Visibility: Drive high-profile speaking, media, and award opportunities for senior leadership; craft compelling narratives and prepare executives for interviews and presentations
- Media Relations Fundamentals: Proactively source media opportunities, draft pitches, and maintain a strong understanding of how to work with the press—even in niche spaces.
- Story Mining: Monitor industry news daily to identify timely opportunities for Index to contribute to the conversation.
- Content Development: Oversee creation of press releases, OpEds, talking points, award submissions, and speaking abstracts with precision and creativity.
- Measurement & Reporting: Define KPIs for communications programs; track Share of Voice, media sentiment, and campaign impact to inform future strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with PMMs, international teams, content, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and alignment.
- Manage Up: Communicate clearly on deadlines, deliverables, and prioritization to senior stakeholders.
Here's what you need:
- 6–8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields, preferably in advertising or technology.
- Proven success in developing and executing strategic communications plans that deliver measurable impact.
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience drafting press releases, award submissions, and speaking abstracts.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing complex projects across global markets.
- Familiarity with industry events (e.g., CES, Cannes Lions, Advertising Week New York) and thought leadership platforms.
The base salary for this role is $121,500 – $150,000 per year USD. The total compensation package may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills and experience.
