Senior Compensation Analyst

You’ll continue to build compensation programs across Gusto, while helping us scale thoughtfully and effectively. As a partner to our leaders, you’ll be a key leader in designing our philosophy to recruit and retain top talent.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Develop, implement, and communicate Gusto’s compensation program, policies, and procedures
- Perform analyses and market studies on current programs, using insights to develop solutions that ensure internal fairness, external competitiveness, and alignment with Gusto’s goals
- Craft compelling offers to attract top-tier talent
- Build retention strategies along with playbooks on how to communicate Gusto’s approach to compensation
- Participate in the development and completion of compensation programs, workflows, and initiatives such as annual compensation review cycles, annual benchmarking, and ad hoc analyses.
- Upscale and maintain internal compensation systems, partnering with People team to integrate tools that ensure scalability and support company growth
- Ensure compliance with employment-related federal and state statutory requirements regarding employee pay and benefits, and remain up-to-date on current compensation-related legislation
Here’s what we're looking for:
- 4+ years of analyst experience within Compensation, HR, People Operations, or a related department, focused on people programs, including compensation strategy, benefits analysis, headcount planning, etc.
- Experience building compensation programs in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where the business is constantly evolving
- Knowledge of federal, state and local compensation and benefits laws, or foundational knowledge with the desire to learn and develop expertise
- Strong spreadsheet, data collection, and data visualization skills
- Experience building dashboards and automating reports
- A strong background in Compensation and Mathematics, Finance, Statistics or Economics preferred
