Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

As our games effort grows, we’re seeking a full-time Content Designer to lead workstreams in our access & identity space. This team is focused on creating more opportunities for people to play our games, and exploring how our members should be represented across our gaming interfaces.

The Role

In this role, you'll craft product copy for flows and experiences that connect people around the world to games. This team embraces a fast-paced and iterative approach, learning from data and research to continuously improve the experience.

As part of Netflix’s broader cross-functional Content Design discipline, you’ll help shape Netflix’s overall brand voice, tone, and style for global audiences, and design scalable, unified language frameworks for our product.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, product designers, and other content designers to define how people access games through Netflix and how their identities are represented on Netflix

  • Navigate requirements and requests from leadership, other teams across Netflix, and the studios who create the games that live within our ecosystem

  • Initiate, define, and lead several projects at once, partnering closely with product designers to communicate effectively across our member-facing interface

  • Establish information architecture, voice & tone, terminology, and pattern guidance

  • Present work and strategy to key stakeholders, team members, and other content designers for visibility and feedback

About You

You love using language to create intuitive, frictionless user experiences. You have a passion for both end-to-end feature development and designing experiments focusing on different language approaches. You’re able to understand complex technical information, and you have a knack for making it clear and easily digestible.

Your Skills

  • You’re able to flex your writing style from pithy value props to clear and consistent UI

  • You’re a systems thinker who excels at developing frameworks to organize information at scale

  • You understand the complex needs of creating product experiences in an identity space, including the need for clear, consistent language

  • You’re able to communicate effectively with visual thinkers, embedding deeply within a design organization to move the work forward through the lens of content

  • You're able to form strong content design recommendations and champion your point of view with peers and stakeholders

  • You’re able to build scalable singular content design systems that can be implemented across many different environments, including external interfaces not owned by Netflix

Your Qualifications

  • 8+ years of UX writing experience

  • Ability to work autonomously and make strategic decisions independently

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and people skills

  • Ability to think critically about user journeys and content flows, and to connect the dots between them

  • Ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours

  • Ability to travel to California a handful of times each year

  • Experience working on sign up flows or identity UI (profiles, accounts, etc) a plus

Please provide a writing portfolio or relevant writing samples.
