About the Role

We're hiring a Sr. Content Marketing Manager to own the messaging and content architecture behind everything Planful publishes. You'll decide what we say, where it lives, how often it gets refreshed, and how we know it's working.

This role is equal parts strategy and execution. The ideal candidate is a strong strategic thinker and an even stronger operator - comfortable owning multiple channels at once and translating complex value propositions into content that performs.

Responsibilities

  • Create full-funnel content across multiple formats including blogs, customer stories, web pages, ebooks and whitepapers. Work directly with SMEs so every piece is accurate, credible, and grounded in what our customers actually care about.
  • Build the messaging framework that connects positioning to every page, post, and asset - so buyers hear one story across landing pages and customer stories.
  • Define the content engine that decides what we publish, what job each format does, and how all the pieces connect to form a unified narrative.
  • Run editorial governance across briefs, review paths, brand standards and refresh cadence.
  • Collaborate with Demand Gen, Field and Product marketing stakeholders to ensure campaign content, messaging, and assets stay aligned to account and segment strategy as deals move through the funnel.
  • Review messaging, social, ad, and email copy to ensure they reflect the messaging framework and hold to brand and quality standards.
  • Own organic strategy with our agency partners through topic and keyword architecture, internal linking, page structure, and how Planful shows up in traditional (SEO) and AI search (GEO/AIO).
  • Run recurring content audits, monitor performance data, and adjust content strategy and formats accordingly. Share performance updates and insights with the wider team and leadership.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 6+ years in B2B content marketing, with hands-on ownership of multiple content channels (eBooks, blogs, social, customer stories, web pages etc).
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex, technical value propositions into clear, compelling content.
  • Working knowledge of SEO/GEO/AIO best practices.
  • Experience managing content through a full lifecycle, including ideation, drafting, review, publishing, and performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate drafting and production workflows.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, partnering across marketing, sales, and creative teams.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, especially in finance, FP&A, or related software categories.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite) and content/asset repositories.
  • Familiarity with ABM strategies and building full-funnel content journeys for target accounts.
