The base salary range for this role is $189,000 - $265,000.

What You'll Do:
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to HR and senior leadership on high-risk, high-impact employment matters, exercising sound judgment in complex situations.
- Partner directly with HR professionals and other business stakeholders to advise on and oversee compliance with multi-jurisdictional employment laws, including, but not limited to: wage/hour compliance; leaves of absence and accommodations; drug testing and background screenings; discrimination and retaliation under both federal and applicable state/local regulations.
- Influence and shape company-wide employment policies and practices, in alignment with evolving legal and regulatory landscapes.
- Develop and deliver proactive training to business leaders on a wide variety of employment law matters.
- Lead or advise on sensitive internal investigations and counsel on complex compensation, ERISA, and immigration matters.
- Lead legal strategy and manage outside counsel in connection with government agency charges, audits, and investigations (e.g., EEOC, DOL, OSHA, and state/local agencies), as well as employment-related claims, demand letters, litigation, and arbitration.
- Draft and negotiate employment-related documents including separation agreements and restrictive covenant agreements.
- Partner with HR professionals, serving as the primary employment law contact to Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Total Rewards Teams.
What You'll Need:
- JD from an accredited school with outstanding academic credentials
- Minimum 8 years' experience in a dedicated employment law practice, either in-house and/or with a national law firm.
- Multi-jurisdictional subject matter expertise in employment law, including advising on complex investigations and disputed matters.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and assess and communicate legal, financial, and reputational risks while identifying practical, business-aligned paths forward.
- Significant experience providing direct and timely advice and counseling to business clients at various levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, manage competing priorities, and navigate ambiguity.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters across diverse stakeholders and locations
- Active license to practice law in at least one state and ability to become licensed as in-house counsel in Florida.
- High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and professional judgment, with empathy and a good sense of humor
- Position may require occasional travel.
The base salary range for this role is $189,000 - $265,000.
- The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.
