We’re looking for a seasoned attorney to join the NVIDIA team as Senior Counsel, Product Legal & Strategy. You will collaborate on our product legal development and strategy, including advising on regulatory and IP development matters for cutting-edge software products and AI models. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure our innovations are developed, launched and operated best-in-class with dynamic global legal and regulatory frameworks.

What you'll be doing:

  • Help build scalable product development strategies and regulatory frameworks and processes for complex and changing global regulations, including for AI, autonomous vehicles, and software.

  • Lead legal trainings and development of resources for regulatory compliance strategies for NVIDIA software products and models.

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision making and provide recommendations to management and proactively optimize for business outcomes.

  • Develop processes, templates, playbooks and new product terms as our teams innovate while keeping up with legal industry best practices and the global regulatory environment.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex technology, and partnership agreements with suppliers, customers, and technology partners.

What we need to see:

  • 8+ years relevant legal experience with at least 4+ years of in-house legal experience in legal and regulatory strategy at a technology company.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing legal strategies for regulatory frameworks, including for software and AI-driven products.

  • Ability to negotiate and manage high-stakes, complex agreements with vendors, customers and collaborators regarding IP and regulatory issues.

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school; admitted to the bar and in good standing in the jurisdiction of hire, or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status).

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior litigation experience, regulatory investigation experience, or federal judicial clerkships are a plus.

  • Knowledge of U.S. and global AI regulations and/or autonomous vehicle regulations.

  • Ability to navigate and break down complex legal issues into actionable advice covering a broad range of interdependent issues (including product design and safety), balance risk with business need and ask tough questions.

  • Self-starter who excels at managing complex projects, with a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and counsel senior stakeholders in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

  • Ability to scale, synthesize and streamline licensing and go-to-market legal strategies.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 232,000 USD - 368,000 USD for Level 5, and 288,000 USD - 460,000 USD for Level 6.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
