This role will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing flows that ensure the integrity and quality of custom circuit macros across all NVIDIA chips. This position offers opportunities to collaborate with a diverse team of experts and to contribute to other CAD projects within the organization!

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and maintain ICV decks, SKILL code, Perl and Python scripts, and Thunder utilities to rigorously validate layouts and schematics.

  • Develop the release process that is used for custom macros, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.

  • Collaborate with other CAD engineers, standard cell, RAM, and mixed-signal cell designers, place and route engineers, library infrastructure teams, and packaging designers to specify new checks and improve existing ones.

  • Participate in the ongoing development and support of mission-critical infrastructure.

  • Opportunity to contribute to other CAD projects outside the core responsibilities of this role.

What we need to see:

  • B.S. (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or M.S. in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years’ experience.

  • Excellent programming skills, with proficiency in Perl, Python, and Cadence SKILL.

  • Solid understanding of custom circuit design, layout, hierarchy, and netlisting.

  • Experience with macro validation flows and release processes.

  • Familiarity with ICV decks, Thunder utilities, and EDA tool integration.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for supporting end-users and working across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Enthusiasm for contributing to mission-critical infrastructure and driving continuous improvement.

  • Experience with version control system, like Perforce
