The Role
We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst to lead product analytics at OpenArt. This role goes beyond reporting and dashboard maintenance. You will act as a strategic partner to Product and Engineering, owning how we measure user behavior, retention, and growth, and translating data into decisions that shape the product roadmap.
You will be the internal subject matter expert on product analytics, responsible for analytics architecture, instrumentation quality, and turning complex event data into clear insights. Deep experience with Amplitude or comparable product analytics platforms is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Own OpenArt’s product analytics strategy, including event taxonomy, tracking plans, and data quality
Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure features are correctly instrumented prior to launch
Analyze funnels, retention, cohorts, and engagement to identify friction points and key activation moments
Design and evaluate A/B experiments, including defining success metrics and post-launch analysis
Build and maintain high-impact dashboards that surface North Star metrics and leading indicators of growth
Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand user behavior, personas, and monetization dynamics
Communicate insights clearly and concisely, translating data into actionable recommendations
Establish and promote a strong data culture across the product organization
Requirements
Core Qualifications
3+ years of experience in product analytics, data analysis, or a related role in a consumer-facing product environment
Strong hands-on experience with Amplitude or similar product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
Proven ability to design and maintain tracking plans and event taxonomies from the ground up
Deep understanding of funnels, retention, cohorts, LTV, and growth metrics
Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and prioritization decisions
Comfort designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B tests and feature experiments
Strong analytical storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights
High ownership mindset and comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces
Nice to Have
Experience with AI-driven products, creator tools, marketplaces, or subscription-based consumer products
Prior experience in a fast-growing startup or small, high-impact team
Compensation
Approximately $180k–$250k total compensation, including base salary, bonus, and equity (flexible for exceptional candidates)
