Position Summary:

The Sr. Data Analyst role will drive measurable impact for MacroHealth clients by turning complex healthcare data into clear, actionable insights. You'll design dashboards, automate reporting workflows, and build scalable analytics frameworks that help internal teams and clients understand business performance across our lines of business. Leveraging advanced SQL, Python, Tableau, and AI-assisted tools, you'll accelerate analysis, surface patterns at scale, and continuously improve the platforms that power our analytics. A collaborative partner by nature, you'll work cross-functionally with data engineers and stakeholders to standardize processes, reduce manual effort, and strengthen MacroHealth's position as a strategic partner to the organizations we serve.

Key Accountabilities:

    1.  Analytics Delivery & Business Insights:

  • Design and develop dashboards and reports tailored to diverse business needs; leverage AI tools to accelerate prototyping and visual storytelling
  • Provide on-demand and proactive insights to support operations and decision-making, using AI-assisted analysis to identify patterns and anomalies at scale
  • Present analytics and insights to customers and internal stakeholders

    2. Data Enablement, Automation & Scalable Reporting:

  • Collaborate with data engineers to evaluate, ingest, and validate data sources
  • Organize, standardize, and automate existing reports and analytics workflows; apply AI-assisted tools to reduce manual effort and improve consistency
  • Develop scalable reporting frameworks and reusable data models to support consistent analytics

    3. Platform Excellence & Continuous Improvement:

  • Document analytics systems, data flows, and reporting processes
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, AI tools, and best practices in data analytics
  • Continuously evolve analytics platforms to improve scalability and maturity

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced SQL expertise (complex joins, performance optimization, analytics use cases)
  • Strong experience with Tableau or equivalent BI tools
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to improve productivity and quality of analytical work
  • Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare data and workflows (payer, provider, claims, utilization, cost drivers, performance metrics)
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to stay on top of current trends and industry knowledge
  • Fits in a people-first culture of teamwork and respect

Required Education and Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in data analytics working with enterprise-scale datasets
  • 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience
  • Experience working with Python
  • 2+ years with Tableau or similar BI platforms
  • Direct experience working with U.S. healthcare data is required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) in a professional setting, including effective prompt engineering to support data analysis, querying, or reporting workflows
  • Strong preference for candidates with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Lakehouse architectures) experience
  • Exposure to modern data modelling frameworks and analytics engineering practices

Compensation:

  • $135,000 - $145,000 USD annual base salary plus bonus, equity, 401k match, flexible PTO and medical/dental/vision insurance.
