Senior Data Scientist, Marketing

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Marketing Analytics to elevate Kajabi’s growth engine through rigorous measurement, attribution, and forecasting. In this high-impact role, you will lead the vision and execution of our marketing data science strategy—empowering Marketing, Growth, and Finance teams with the models, insights, and frameworks needed to make confident, data-driven investment decisions.  You will own advanced modeling across attribution, incrementality, media mix modeling (MMM), customer lifetime value analysis, and forecasting to enable Kajabi to deploy marketing spend efficiently and maximize ROI.

The Impact you will makeMarketing Attribution & Measurement
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of multi-touch attribution (MTA), incrementality testing, and media mix modeling (MMM) to quantify channel effectiveness and guide investment decisions.
  • Build frameworks to evaluate both paid and organic growth levers (e.g., paid social, paid search, influencer, lifecycle, affiliates, SEO).
Advanced Marketing Analytics
  • Develop predictive models for CAC, LTV, and payback windows, partnering closely with Finance to align with revenue goals.
  • Build forecasting models for acquisition, spend efficiency, and conversion funnels.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Work closely with Marketing, Growth, Finance, and Product to define KPIs and measurement approaches that align to Kajabi’s OKRs.
  • Translate complex modeling output into simple, compelling recommendations for senior leadership.
Experimentation & Causal Inference
  • Partner with Growth and Lifecycle teams to design and analyze A/B tests, holdout experiments, geo-tests, and uplift modeling.
  • Establish best practices for experimentation, measurement, and statistical rigor across the marketing org.
Marketing Data Infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering to ensure data pipelines, identity resolution, and event schemas effectively support attribution and marketing analytics workflows.
  • Advocate for clean, scalable datasets powering marketing insights and models.
Strategic Influence
  • Serve as the marketing data science thought leader—shaping how Kajabi invests in acquisition, retention, and lifecycle programs.
  • Present forecasts, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders to guide strategic decisions.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years in data science or analytics, with deep experience in performance marketing, growth analytics, attribution, or forecasting—preferably in a SaaS or digital subscription business.
Technical Skills
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and Python (R optional).
  • Hands-on experience building production-ready models for:
    • Multi-touch attribution
    • Media mix models / regression-based MMM
    • Incrementality / causal inference
    • LTV, CAC, retention, and forecasting
Marketing Domain Expertise
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (paid social/search, display, affiliates, lifecycle), conversion funnels, and marketing measurement challenges.
Communication & Influence
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence investment decisions.
Problem Solving
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive mindset for identifying growth opportunities and efficiency improvements.

How We Work Together

For this role, we expect regular onsite presence at our Newport Beach, CA office 5 days per week.

Pay Range

At Kajabi we believe the workplace should be equitable, inclusive, and inspiring for every employee. In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position.  Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.

US based applicants only.

$130,500— $174,000 + bonus
