What you’ll be doing

As a Senior DevOps Software Engineer, you will lead infrastructure projects and processes in a high performing software team.  You will build tools, infrastructure, processes, pipelines, and support for all projects and teams.  You will work closely with Software, Systems, and Test teams to develop innovative and modern solutions to facilitate and enhance agile processes, product delivery, and software best practices. Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a solid knowledge base are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
  • Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, and test implemented designs
  • Manage and implement code deployments in all environments
  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve the software development process
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
  • Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
  • Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects
  • Manage CI and CD tools with software development teams
  • Document and design various processes; update existing processes
  • Improve infrastructure development and application development
  • Follow all best practices and procedures established by the company

Must Have Qualifications:

  • BS in computer science, computer engineering, or closely related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Programming and Development Operations (DevOps)
  • 5+ years of experience coding, testing, and deploying software applications using Modern C++, and Golang
  • 3+ years of experience with scripting languages - Bash and Python
  • Hands on familiarity with Docker containers and Kubernetes in an engineering environment
  • Databases (on-prem and cloud) – Postgres, MongoDB, or Redis
  • Experience using Jenkins for CI/CD
  • Gitlab, GitHub, or Bitbucket

    It’s a bonus if you have:

    • MS in computer science, computer engineering, or closely related field
    • 8+ years of experience in Software Programming and Development Operations (DevOps)
    • 8+ years of experience coding, testing, and deploying software applications using C/C++, Modern C++, and Golang
    • 5+ years of experience with scripting languages - Bash and Python
    • Expertise in some or all of the following:
      • Linux, Linux system administration
      • Load balancing using NginX configurations
      • Container Registry using Artifactory
      • Git LFS

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
