The Role You Could Play

We're looking for an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Manager-Social Media to lead the strategy, creative direction and execution of MECCA's owned social channels including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. In this influential leadership role, you'll shape how our brand shows up across social, bringing the iconic MECCA in-store experience to life for audiences both in Australia, New Zealand and around the world.

Leading a talented team of content creators and social specialists, you'll drive best-in-class social storytelling, oversee major campaigns and partnerships, and identify new opportunities to keep MECCA at the forefront of social innovation.

Working closely with teams across Marketing, PR & Influencer, Paid Media, Events and Category Marketing, you'll deliver engaging content that grows our community and strengthens our brand.

This position is a fixed term opportunity until September 2027.

Some of the things you'll do include:

  • Develop and deliver MECCA's social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing social content team, fostering creativity, capability and collaboration.

  • Own the social content budget, agency partnerships and production investment to maximise impact.

  • Partner with teams across the business to deliver integrated campaigns, launches and flagship moments.

  • Use data, insights and emerging trends to optimise performance while ensuring brand excellence and compliance.

What You Will Bring

You're a strategic and creative social leader who knows how to blend storytelling with commercial thinking. You thrive in fast-paced environments, love developing people and have a passion for creating content that genuinely connects with audiences.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience leading social media, content or digital marketing teams.

  • Proven success developing and executing high-performing social strategies for consumer brands.

  • Strong leadership experience, with a passion for coaching and developing teams.

  • Experience managing budgets, external agencies and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.

  • A data-driven mindset, using insights to inform strategy, measure success and continuously optimise performance.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
