The IQ Design team is dedicated to creating simple, delightful, and transformative experiences. We believe visual craft makes technology feel clear, approachable, and distinctive. Through thoughtful composition, hierarchy, color, and motion, we help people see what matters and understand what’s happening.
As a Senior Visual Designer at HP IQ, you’ll shape how our AI experiences look and feel across platforms and form factors. Building on HP’s established visual identity, you’ll develop a cohesive visual language that adapts to different screens, devices, and contexts. You’ll bring a strong visual point of view and meticulous execution to experiences that feel unmistakably related and carefully considered for each surface.
You bring a discerning eye and a love of making things. You notice when a composition feels unbalanced, when an important detail gets lost, or when a design loses its character as it moves to another screen. You enjoy exploring visual possibilities and refining scale, spacing, contrast, imagery, and motion until the result feels clear and beautifully resolved. Working alongside product designers and engineers, you’ll carry that level of care into the finished experience.
What You Might Do- Develop visual directions and reusable patterns that extend HP’s design language across platforms and form factors.
- Craft layouts, icons, and visual assets with precise attention to hierarchy, scale, spacing, contrast, and detail.
- Adapt designs to different screen sizes, viewing distances, and contexts, preserving visual clarity and a cohesive identity.
- Use motion and transitions to guide attention, communicate state, and create continuity.
- Partner with designers and engineers to critique, refine, and carry visual craft through to implementation on target devices.
- 7+ years of experience in visual design
- A portfolio showing strong visual craft and attention to detail
- Experience designing across platforms and form factors
- Fluency in Figma and visual design tools, with AI integrated into daily design work
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience extending an established brand or visual system across a family of digital experiences.
- Skills in motion design, animation, or 3D that expand how you express visual ideas.
- Experience creating icons, illustrations, or imagery that remain clear and recognizable at different sizes.
- Experience documenting visual standards and helping teams maintain a high level of craft.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on use of AI tools for visual exploration, asset creation, and production.
Please share 1–2 projects that demonstrate your visual craft (Keynote, PDF, or Figma preferred). Show how you created clarity and a cohesive visual language across platforms or form factors, and make your contribution clear. Passion projects are welcome.
Salary: $170,000- $250,000
Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)
The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
