 SENIOR DIGITAL ADVERTISING PROJECT MANAGER

About Us:

Founded in 1983, Goodby Silverstein & Partners is a full-service advertising agency whose mission is to create experiences that reach millions and even billions, but seem to speak only to you. We call this effect mass intimacy. The smarter, braver work that results from this approach brings people closer to our clients’ businesses, gets them to care, and urges them to take action. Because great work is only great if it reaps results.

We’re cultivating an inclusive place where people do their very best work—work that moves people and contributes to culture. To that end, our staff and our work need to reflect the world around us. It’s why we look for interesting talent in unexpected places. At GS&P, inclusivity demands that all people and all voices are seen, heard and valued. We believe we are better people and a better agency when more perspectives and more stories are shared and included. We’re making big strides toward these goals and are constantly excited by the difference it all makes.

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Digital Advertising Project Manager in our SOMA San Francisco office. The role will lead planning, coordination, and delivery of digital advertising for a key B2B client. This role sits within our account team and is responsible for driving complex digital projects from brief through launch, ensuring deliverables are on time, on budget, and on strategy.

The right candidate will be able to come into our South of Market, San Francisco location three days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The Senior Digital Advertising Project Manager will partner closely with Account Management, Strategy, Creative, and Digital Production, serving as the connective tissue between internal teams, external partners, and our client’s stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Project & Program Leadership

  • Own end-to-end delivery of digital work for our B2B client.
  • Translate client goals, briefs, and requirements into clear project scopes, timelines, and actionable plans.

Client Partnership

  • Act as a key day-to-day partner to Account Management in all digital workstreams.
  • Participate in (and often lead) project-related client meetings: status meetings, working sessions, sprint reviews, and post-mortems.
  • Manage expectations around scope, timeline, budget, and feasibility; proactively flag risks and propose solutions.

Execution & Delivery

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Account, Creative, Digital Production,) through all project phases.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, brand guidelines, and technical requirements prior to client review and launch.
  • Oversee vendor and partner contributions (e.g., development partners, production houses, platform specialists), ensuring integration of their work into the overall project plan.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Contribute to operational improvements, templates, and processes that increase efficiency and quality across the account.

Skills & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end digital production: design, content, front-end/back-end development, QA, analytics, and deployment.
  • Comfortable planning and managing projects across multiple digital platforms.
  • Advanced project planning and documentation skills: SOWs, estimates, workback schedules, risk logs, status reports.
  • Solutions-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem solving and risk mitigation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You must have prior experience working as a project manager at an advertising agency or in-house ad agency.
  • You've been instrumental in putting together processes to help simplify the complex.
  • You know how to stay calm under pressure.
