*Note: This position can be based in our San Francisco/San Jose Office or Remote East Coast. Our current office policy is 4 days a week in office with a designated work from home day as Tuesday.

Lambda is unlike any other AI cloud. Founded by twin brothers who published breakthrough deep learning research before ‘AI’ became a buzzword, we’ve grown from pioneering research to specialized hardware to today’s leading AI cloud—now valued at over $2.5B.

We’re seeking a Senior Director of Communications to shape how the world sees Lambda—crafting and amplifying our story, our vision, and our unique AI DNA.

As Senior Director of Communications, you will:

  • Define and execute a communications strategy that sets Lambda apart in the AI cloud landscape.

  • Showcase our founders’ vision and technical edge to technical, business, and investor audiences.

  • Build a narrative of Lambda’s evolution—from a $2.5B scale-up to an industry leader ready for the big leagues.

This role reports to our VP of Marketing and works closely with the founding team, marketing, finance, design, legal, internal communications, product and engineering organizations. You are passionate about AI, blending creativity with operational agility. You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, and are energized by the challenge of communicating breakthrough technology to the world.

What You’ll Do

Corporate Narrative & Strategic Communications

  • Drive Lambda’s corporate messaging and position our founders as standout leaders in AI compute—from AI Factories to AI platforms.

  • Develop and align an integrated communications framework that connects corporate and internal messaging.

  • Translate company milestones into compelling stories that resonate with investors, analysts, media, and customers.

  • Build repeatable frameworks for high-impact announcements and ensure alignment across stakeholders.

Media, Agency & Visibility Leadership

  • Lead Lambda’s media strategy, cultivating Tier 1 relationships across tech, business, and financial press.

  • Secure top-tier placements, thought leadership content, and executive speaking opportunities.

  • Partner with agencies to amplify reach, providing clear strategic direction and oversight.

  • Act as a trusted media liaison for Lambda executives, ensuring consistent, compelling brand presence.

  • Measure and optimize communications impact against engagement, brand awareness, and business goals.

Executive & Corporate Communications

  • Elevate executive voices through keynotes, op-eds, media interviews, and digital platforms.

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and other functions to ensure market-ready messaging and stakeholder alignment.

  • Serve as senior communications counsel in high-stakes moments, protecting Lambda’s reputation and guiding crisis response.

  • Build and maintain robust crisis communications protocols.

You

  • Strategic thinker who balances long-term brand building with hands-on execution, with both in-house and agency experience.

  • 12+ years of communications leadership in AI, cloud, or enterprise infrastructure, ideally in high-growth environments.

  • Deep expertise in financial communications, corporate narrative, and executive positioning.

  • Proven success scaling communications functions and managing agency partners while aligning with internal teams.

  • Strong media relationships across Tier 1 tech, business, and financial press.

  • Skilled storyteller, able to make complex technology accessible and compelling.

  • Creative, agile, and energized by navigating ambiguity to deliver results.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working directly with technical founders

  • Product Communications experience in AI
