Job Summary: 

The Senior Director of Compensation & Benefits leads the design and implementation of Voyager’s total rewards strategy to attract, retain, and engage top talent. This role is responsible for shaping competitive, equitable, and scalable compensation and benefits programs, with a strong focus on strategic planning, market alignment, and synchronization across acquired entities.

Responsibilities:

Compensation

  • Design and lead Voyager’s compensation programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and talent strategies.
  • Partner with the Chief of Staff and external consultants to develop equitable pay structures and incentive plans.
  • Oversee annual compensation cycles (merit and incentive planning). Lead executive compensation planning, including benchmarking and program design.
  • Ensure compliance with FLSA, pay equity, and other regulations through audits and reporting.
  • Conduct market analysis to maintain competitive positioning and informed plan design.
  • Establish clear governance, policies, and communication for all compensation programs.
  • Educate and support leaders on compensation philosophy, pay practices, and program administration to ensure understanding and consistent application across the organization.

  • Promote a benefits philosophy that supports employee well-being, engagement, and holistic care.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, pay equity, FLSA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, and relationships to ensure service quality and alignment.
  • Leverage HR technology to streamline administration and improve accessibility.
  • Develop communication strategies that enhance understanding, engagement, and utilization.
  • Evaluate program performance to drive continuous improvement.

Total Rewards

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to ensure alignment with workforce planning.
  • Lead the evaluation and consolidation of rewards programs during acquisitions and integrations.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership and support strategic reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree or professional certifications preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in high-growth and/or M&A environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Expertise in compensation modeling, benchmarking tools, and HRIS platforms.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and change management capabilities.
