What's the opportunity?

We’re seeking an experienced strategy and operations leader to head Global Sales Operations within our Revenue Operations organization. This role will ensure our go-to-market (GTM) engine runs seamlessly as we continue to scale worldwide.

As Sr. Director, you oversee Core Sales Operations, Partnership Operations, and Deal Desk. You’ll serve as a strategic partner to the SVP of Sales and their leadership team, guiding a high-impact team that enables Intercom’s GTM organization to achieve ambitious growth targets.

What you’ll do
  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to Sales leaders, identifying opportunities for improvement and aligning initiatives with global GTM goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and growth.
  • Program & Project Delivery: Drive company-level GTM initiatives from conception to execution including role design, global expansion, forecasting, and adoption of internal AI tools.
  • Analytics & Insights: Oversee analysis of performance data, maintaining dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights on pipeline health, conversion, and business performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Build and optimize the sales tech stack, and ensure high standards across forecasting, deal execution, QBRs, reporting, and enablement processes.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Solutions Ops (CSM, Sales Engineers, Professional Services), Marketing, GTM Analytics, Business Systems, Data Engineering, and Finance to design and deliver end-to-end GTM processes.

What skills do I need?
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent certifications a plus.
  • 12+ years of leadership experience in Sales or Business Operations (ideally in high-growth SaaS or AI).
  • Deep expertise in forecasting, segmentation, territory design, and incentive compensation.
  • Proven track record leading and developing global teams, and influencing at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency; ability to design dashboards, reporting, and executive presentations that turn complex data into clear insights.
  • Strong project management and change skills; highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Bonus skills & attributes 
  • Experience with Tableau, Gong, Outreach, and SQL.
  • Background in customer service, AI applications, or revenue operations within a scaling SaaS environment.

*Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.

The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $279,000 - $333,000. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

The SF office is located in the bustling SoMa district. It's just off Market Street, a 2 minute walk from Montgomery BART and Muni. The area is dotted with amazing dining spots, although our Workplace Experience team also looks after us with tons of delicious food, drink and snacks.
