The Senior Director, Network Development will help lead the national strategy and regional implementation for expanding Interwell Health’s physician network and strengthening partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem. This role is responsible for shaping long-term growth initiatives, driving market penetration, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives for value-based care. The Senior Director will oversee regional directors, manage high-impact relationships with physician groups and payers, and collaborate with executive leadership to influence strategic decisions. Success in this role requires a visionary leader who can balance market intelligence, operational execution, and stakeholder engagement.

Please note: The anticipated territory for this role is expected to include New England and portions of the Midwest. Final territory scope will be discussed during the interview process and may evolve based on business needs.
 
What you will do:

  • Develop and execute a national network development strategy aligned with organizational goals and market trends.
  • Lead and mentor regional directors and network development teams to ensure consistent execution of growth initiatives.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with physician groups, health systems, and payers to advance value-based care adoption.
  • Negotiate complex agreements and oversee implementation of value-based compensation models.
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on market dynamics, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.
  • Drive enterprise-level initiatives to enhance provider engagement through education, technology integration, and aligned incentives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Clinical, and Account Management teams to design scalable recruitment and engagement programs.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analyze market data, and provide actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Represent Interwell Health at national conferences, industry forums, and high-level stakeholder meetings.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare network development, sales leadership, or strategic growth roles.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multi-regional or national initiatives.
  • Ability to set national growth strategies, influence organizational priorities, and lead large-scale initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of value-based care models, risk-sharing arrangements, and healthcare economics.
  • Proven ability to secure high-value partnerships and maintain executive-level relationships.
  • Expertise in leveraging market intelligence and performance data to guide strategy.
  • Skilled at aligning multiple departments and external stakeholders toward common objectives.
  • Ability to drive organizational change and foster adoption of innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional presentation and influencing skills for internal and external audiences.
  • 25-50 % travel expected; required for meetings and client interactions
  • Preferred
    • Advanced degree (MBA, MHA) or equivalent experience
    • Experience with Value-Based Care (VBC) and Integrated Care Management Services.
    • Experience with nephrology or specialty care networks.
